DG-BG1000

Follow the steps below to configure DG-BG1000 in bridge mode:

Step 1: Open the configuration page http://192.168.1.1
Step 2: Enter the username as admin and password admin
Step 3: Click on Wizard
Step 4: Enter the VPI and VCI value > Click on Next
Step 5: Under Wan connection >>Select 1483 MER bridge
Step 6: Encapsulation Mode:LLC/SNAP >> Click on Next
Step 7: LAN Interface Setup>>Next
Step 8: Fast Configure Summary>>Finish

HOW TO CHANGE THE LAN IP ADDRESS OF THE DG-BG1000 ROUTER

STEP 1: ACCESSING THE WEB CONFIGURATION PAGE INSIDE THE ROUTER
Open the configuration page of the router by typing http://192.168.1.1 in a web browser. We recommend this one time configuration to be done using Internet Explorer. Enter the username as admin and password as admin and click on OK.

STEP 2: TO CHANGE THE LAN IP ADDRESS
Click on Network > LAN.
Change the IP Address as per your network requirements.
Click on Apply Changes > Save.

STEP 3: TO SAVE THE SETTINGS
Click on Admin > Commit/Reboot.
Select Save the current configuration from the drop down list.
Click Commit Changes > Reboot.

Configure DG-BG1000 in PPPoE mode

Step 1: Enter 192.168.1.1 on the web browser and login with username as admin and password admin / admin

Step 2: Click on Network > WAN > At the end of the page delete the existing entries

Step 3: Move on top of the page. Enter the VPI:0/VCI :35 (for bsnl)

Step 4: Channel mode: PPPoE

Step 5: PPP settings Enter the Username/password provided by ISP

Step 6: Click on ADD

Step 7: Go to Admin > Commit changes > Save current Configuration > Reboot

Check for the Internet Line to be Green after reboot. If Red then verify username and password from the ISP.

Step 1: Open the configuration page http://192.168.1.1

Step 2: Enter the username as admin and password admin

Step 3: Click on Services >> DNS >> DDNS.

Step 4: DDNS provider : DynDNS.org
Hostname:- smtmahal.dyndns.org
Interface:- The WAN interface of the router.
Enable :- Enabled
Username :- The name provided by DDNS provider.
Password :- The password provided by DDNS provider.

Step 5: Click on Apply changes.

Kindly do the following steps:-

Step 1: Open the configuration page by typing 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of the internet explorer and press enter. Type admin as the username and password.

Step 2: Click on Network >> WAN >> ADSL settings.

Step 3: Keep the option “G.dmt enabled” checked and uncheck the rest.

Step 4: Click on apply.

Step 5: Click on Admin >> Commit and reboot > Save the current configuration >> commit changes >> reboot.

Verify LEDs:
– If Link is stable > Check internet LED to be Green
– If Link is still blinking then continue with the steps below:


Step 1: Click on Network >> WAN >> ADSL settings.

Step 2: Keep the option “G.lite enabled” checked and uncheck the rest.

Step 3: Click on apply.

Step 4: Click on Admin >> Commit and reboot > Save the current configuration >> commit changes >> reboot.

Verify LEDs:
– If Link is stable > Check internet LED to be Green
– If Link is still blinking then continue with the steps below:

Kindly try with all the types of ADSL modulations and then verify the connectivity.

If the issue persists, please verify the line from your ISP.

Port forwarding on DG-BG1000

Step 1: Enter 192.168.1.1 on the web browser and login with username as admin and password admin

Step 2: Go to Advanced > NAT > Virtual Server

Step 3: Select User defined service name>>>Give any name

Step 4: Protocol: TCP, Wan Settings: Interface, Wan Interface: PPPoE1

Step 5: WAN Port: Enter the port number to be opened (eg: 80)

Step 6: LAN Port : Re-enter the same port number as in WAN port

Step 7: LAN IP Addres:Enter the LAN IP of the device for which you want to open ports

Step 8: Click on Apply Changes

Step 9: Click on Admin >> Commit/Reboot >> save the current configuration >> commit changes >> reboot

Try to access the device over the internet.
