Setup:
DG-BG1000 (192.168.1.1)——>(LAN)DG-HR3400——->PC
We would suggest you to do the following steps:-
Step 1: Connect a computer to the LAN on the router.
Step 2: Type 192.168.2.1 on the address bar of your web browser. Press enter. Login with username admin and the password is 1234.
Step 3: Go to Setup > Mode Settings> Select mode to bridge mode > Apply changes
Step 4: Click on Wireless settings >>>Basic settings.
Step 6: Enter a new name in the SSID field. Change the channel number to 9.
Step 7: Under Security Settings>>>Select WPA-PSK(TKIP) >>> Enter your password in the pre-shared key box >> Click on Apply.
Step 8: Go to setup > Local Network > Change the IP to 192.168.1.254 > Apply
Step 9: Reboot the router and access the page now with 192.168.1.254
Step 10: Go to setup > Local Network > In DHCP server settings
– Change the DHCP mode to None
– Apply changes
Step 11: Connect the cable from LAN of first DG-HR3400 to the LAN1 of the 2nd DG-HR3400
Verify the connectivity.
Step 1: Connect ISP to the WAN port, PC to the LAN port
Step 2: Open a browser and type 192.168.2.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 3: Go to Setup > Internet Setup
Step 4: Select WAN access type as DHCP Client
Step 5: Select MAC from PC under MAC clone option
Step 6: Apply Changes
Reboot the router and try to access internet.
Step 1: Open the web browser and login to 192.168.1.1 (user:admin / password: 1234)
Step 2: Go to Advanced > Virtual Server
Step 3: Select User defined service name >> Give any name
Step 4: Protocol: TCP, Wan Settings: Interface, Wan Interface: PPPoE1
Step 5: WAN Port: Enter the port number to be opened (eg: 80)
Step 6: LAN Port : Re-enter the same port number as in WAN port
Step 7: LAN IP Address : Enter the LAN IP of the device for which you want to open ports
Step 8: Click on Apply Changes
Try accessing the device over the internet using the WAN IP: port number
Step 1: Connect ISP to the WAN port, PC to the LAN port
Step 2: Open a browser and type 192.168.2.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 3: Go to Setup > Internet Setup
Step 4: Select WAN access type as PPPoE
Step 5: Enter the ISP provided Username, Password
Step 6: Select MAC from PC under MAC clone option
Step 7: Apply Changes
Reboot the router and try to access internet.
Step 1: Connect ISP to the WAN port, PC to the LAN port
Step 2: Open a browser and type 192.168.2.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 3: Go to Setup > Internet Setup
Step 4: Select WAN access type as Static IP
Step 5: Enter the ISP provided IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS1, DNS2 correctly
Step 6: Select MAC from PC under MAC clone option
Step 7: Apply Changes
Reboot the router and try to access internet.
If you want to allow only particular wireless devices to go online then you can set up wireless Access Control List
Step 1: Open the web browser and login to 192.168.1.1 (user:admin / password: 1234
Step 2: Go to Wireless > Wireless Advance
Step 3: Click on ACL setup
Step 4: Select Enable Wireles Access Control Mode
Step 5: Enter the MAC address and click on Add > Apply
Step 1: Open a browser and type 192.168.2, enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 2: Go to Wireless > Wireless Basics
Step 3: Select Mode > AP
Step 4: Change the SSID name to your choice (This is wireless network name visible to all)
Step 5: Select Security options as WPA-PSK (TKIP)
Step 6: Enter password for wireless network in pre-shared key (minimum 8 alpha numeric characters)
Step 7: Click on Apply changes
Scan for the wireless network (SSID) and connect with the password (pre-shared key) to go online wirelessly
