DVR is recommended to view only on Internet Explorer. For any other browser, customer will need to install the required plugins. Limited support from Digisol for other browsers.

– Assign IP on the PC in the range of the DVR
– Access the web-gui with the IP of the DVR, http port on Internet Explorer only (Default 192.168.1.10:81)
– Check if the browser asks for ActiveX download
– If yes then download ActiveX on the PC and install for IE
– If a blank page is displayed then try to access through run command iexplore http://192.168.1.10:81
– If no success then try disabling anti-virus, firewall and try reset the browser settings to default
– Close and reload the browser
– In case you get a DVR login page but unable to click on Login button then try enabling ActiveX installation. Go to Settings > Internet Options > Enable all options related to ActiveX installation
– Disable any pop-up blocker if active
– Try adding the DVR IP in microsoft compatibility view settings
– Once you are prompted for an ActiveX, plugins, install them
– Login to the DVR to view the live feed

Method 1: Through DVR GUI
– You can connect an external USB drive on the USB port (max 1TB tested)
– Access the configuration page
– Go to Playback > Backup > Backup
– Select the channels, date of the recordings and Click on Start

Method 1: Through CMS

You can back up the recording through CMS software installed on your computer’s local drive
– Open CMS software
– Go to Record Button >> Playback
– Select the IP address of the DVR under “Device” and select the camera e.g. “CAM 01” in the next drop-down box.
– Under Query mode, select “By name”.
– Click on Search.
– All the recordings will be displayed. Then select the recording and click on download to back up your videos.

Using Monitor

– Click on Main Menu >> Advanced >> Import/Export

Note: If you are saving the config file using a monitor then you will have to connect and USB drive to the USB port of the DVR

Issue: To change DVR admin password.

– Connect the DVR to the monitor
– Login using username as admin , password as blank (default)
– Click on Main menu >> Advanced >> Account
– Select the username “admin”
– Click on “Modify password”
– Select the username “admin” from dropdown
– Enter the old password
– Enter the new password and confirm the password >> Click “OK”

ISSUE: Change the LAN IP of the DVR

– Connect the DVR to the monitor
– Login using username as admin , password as blank (default)
– Click on Main menu >> System >> Network setup
– Set the “IP address”. Default: 192.168.1.10
– Set the subnet mask code. Default: 255.255.255.0
– Set the default gateway. Default: 192.168.1.1
– Enter the primary and secondary DNS
– TCP port. Default: 34567
– HTTP port. Default: 80/81
– Click on “OK”

You can then access the configuration page of the DVR using IP: Port number. Ex: 192.168.1.10:81.

– Access the DVR Menu
– Go to Main menu > Record > Record Mode
– Select the Channel Number – All Channels, Day : All Days
– Select Schedule for 24 hours

You can upgrade the firmware on the DVR in either of the following methods:

1. One is through usb flash drive, and DVR to the monitor
– Copy the firmware on the USB flash drive
– Connect the flash drive to the USB port
– Go to Main Menu > Advanced > Upgrade
– Select the firmware file and click on upgrade

2. Through web-GUI
– Connect the DVR to the PC
– Open 192.168.1.10:81
– Go to Main Menu > Advanced > Upgrade
– Select the firmware file and click on upgrade


Note: It will take a few minutes for the DVR to get connected once the firmware is upgraded

– Connect the DVR to the monitor
– Try to login using default password (Blank)
– Confirm the date and time on the login screen
– Take a screenshot and drop a mail on helpdesk@digisol.com
– You will receive an alphanumeric password valid for the same date
– Connect the DVR to the monitor and enter the password provided (Case sensitive)
– Click login
– DVR will reboot and login screen will appear
– Now, enter the username as admin and password as blank >> OK
– You can then change the admin password according to the customer’s requirement

– Check the hard drive capacity and compatibility with the DVR
– Try using a different SATA Cable or connect on a different SATA port on the DVR
– Try connecting a lower capactity hard drive
– Check if the same hard drive is detected and if it works fine on a PC
– If it works on PC but not on the DVR then

Try using a power adpater of a higher power rating link 12V, 2.5A or 12V, 3A.

The power adapter that is given with the DVR is 12V,2A.

If you want to playback the videos of more than 1 camera simultaneously on the monitor, then do the following:

– Right click on the center of the DVR screen and click on playback

– Select the date on the right hand side

– Select the camera channels that you want to playback

– Click on Search

– Click on “Synchronous” at the bottom of the page

This will play the videos of the cameras together side by side

NOTE: This can be done only for regular recording and not for motion detection.

Open the CMS software.

Username:Super and no password.

Expand the IP address of the DVR displayed on the left hand side.

Click on Record at the right bottom corner. Click on Playback on top.

Click on “Remote Playback”.

Select the IP address of the DVR under “Device” and select the camera e.g. “CAM 01” in the next drop-down box.

Under Query mode, select “By name”.

Click on Search.

All the recordings will be displayed. Then select the recording and click on play.

**Note: In case the above settings do not work, then please try decreasing the resolution of the PC.

Access the DVR either on VGA or on the browser
– Go to Main Menu
– Select Advanced > Restore
– Click on Select All to restore to default settings

To check the available and used space:

Log into the DVR and go to Main menu>>Info>>HDD Info to check the storage capacity.

To check the file size taken by each camera in CMS:

Go to playback
Select one of the camera for one day
Scroll on the right hand side and check for the space

Similarly you may calculate for the rest of the cameras

To check the file size of each recording on monitor:

Go to playback > select the camera > Click on Refresh button at the bottom
This will display individual recording files for that camera with the file size

To view the recordings through DVR, go to playback option.

Select the date on which you want to view the recording. Then select the file from the listed files on the right hand side.

The recordings are of two types:-

R : regular recording
M : manual recording

If you want to take the backup of the recorded file, then connect a pen drive to the DVR. Then select the file and click on the file backup option. You can also click on main menu >> record >> backup.

You can access the DVR via CMS software.

Firstly install the CMS software on the computer

Username:Super and no password

To Add the DVR:

Click on System>>Device Manager

Click on Add Area>>>Enter any Name for the Zone>>Click on Ok

Select the Zone which you have created and click on Add Device

Give any Device Name

Enter the IP Address of the DVR as well as username and password

Click on OK

ISSUE: To view DVR on mobile phone.
– Customer can use XMeye app to view DVR online on android phone
– Download and install the app on phone

~~~~~~~ Check if the DVR is online ~~~~~~~~
– Confirm the network setup
– Confirm if there is a DHCP server / router in the network which is connected to the DVR via LAN cable
– Confirm the IP address of the DVR (Must be in the same range as that of main device)
– Confirm the DG on the DVR (Must be the default IP of the main router)
– Assign primary and secondary DNS on the DVR (Universal : 4.2.2.2/4.2.2.1/8.8.8.8)
– Confirm the default media port : 34567
– Confirm the default HTTP port : 80/81

~~~~~~~ Enable Cloud on the DVR ~~~~~~~~
– Click on Main menu >> System >> Net service >> Cloud
– Enable cloud
– Check the status: Connected

~~~~~~~ Check the NAT status ~~~~~~~~
– Click on Main menu >> Info >> Version
– Check the NAT status: Connected
– Note the serial number from Main menu >> Info >> Version

~~~~~~~ Settings on the XMeye application ~~~~~~~~
– Open the app on the phone .Welcome Screen will appear
– Tap on “Local Login”
– Tap “+” to add a new DVR in the APP
– Enter any Name for the DVR. This is only for identification of the DVR
– Enter the copied “Serial number” of the DVR from status
– Click on “Advanced”
– Enter the media port number : 34567
– Enter the username of the DVR : admin
– Enter the password of the DVR : blank (default)
– Tap on “OK”
– The newly added device will appear in the device list on app
– Tap on the device name to connect to the DVR
– The APP will Try to connect to DVR
– If the connection is successful then the cameras will be listed
– Tap any of the camera to view it
– Camera along with the Date/Time & Camera Name will be Visible
