Kindly follow the steps given below to Configure for 3G
Step 1: Enter 192.168.1.1 on the address bar and log in with the username/ pasword as admin / 1234
Step 2: Go to Setup >> WAN >> 3G
Step 3: Under APN type airtelgprs.com, Dial number as *99# and username and password should be blank (APN and dial numbers would be as per ISP)
Step 4: Click on Apply Changes
Step 5: Reboot the router
Reboot the router and check for internet access
If you want to allow or deny only particular wireless devices to connect to the wireless network then you can set up wireless Access Control List
Step 1: Open the web browser and login to 192.168.1.1 (user:admin / password: 1234)
Step 2: Go to SETUP > Wireless
Step 3: Click on Access Control List
Step4: Under “Wireless access control mode” > Select Allow Listed/Deny Listed.
If you choose ‘Allow Listed’, only those clients whose wireless MAC addresses are in the access control list will be able to connect to your access point.
If ‘Deny Listed’ is selected, these wireless clients on the list will not be able to connect the access point.
Step5: Enter the MAC address and click on Add > Apply
Please note that the WAN IP terminated on the router should be public IP address.
Step 1: Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 2: Goto Firewall > ACL
Step 3: Select WAN in the “Direction Select”
Step 4: Under “Services Allowed”, enable ping, telnet, web
Step 5: Click on Add
Use the WAN IP address to access router over the internet.
Step 1: Connect ISP to the WAN port, PC to the LAN port
Step 2: Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 3: Click Maintenance > Password
Step 4: Under “User Account Table”, select the entry with username “Admin”
Now the same will appear in the User account configuration parameters on the page.
DO NOT CHANGE THE PRIVILEGE OR THE USERNAME
Step 5: Enter the old password
Step 6: Enter the changed password under “New Password” and re-enter the same password in “Confirm Password”
Step 7: Click on Modify
Step 8: Click Maintenance > Reboot > Reboot
Try to login using the changed admin password.
Step 1: Connect ISP to the WAN port, PC to the LAN port
Step 2: Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 3: Go to Setup > WAN
Step 4: Delete the entries from “WAN interfaces table” (If any)
Step 5: Select WAN mode as DHCP
Step 6: Select MAC from PC under MAC clone option
Step 7: Apply Changes
Reboot the router and try to access internet.
Note the following steps to update firmware on the router:
ROUTER MUST BE CONNECTED WIRED TO THE PC
Step 1: Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 2: Choose Maintenance > Firmware Update
Step 3: Verify the file name
Step 4: Under “select file” click choose file, Browse and select the firmware file
Step 5: Click Upload
DO NOT TURN OFF THE ROUTER WHEN FIRMWARE UPGRADE IS GOING ON.
Step 1: Open the web browser and login to 192.168.1.1 (user:admin / password: 1234)
Step 2: Go to Advanced > DMZ
Step 3: Select Wan Interface: Any
Step 4: DMZ Host IP Address : Enter the LAN IP of the device for which you want to open ports
Step 5: Click on Apply Changes
Try accessing the device over the internet using the WAN IP: port number
Step 1: Open the web browser and login to 192.168.1.1 (user:admin / password: 1234)
Step 2: Go to Advanced > Virtual Server
Step 3: Select User defined service name >> Give any name
Step 4: Protocol: TCP, Wan Settings: Interface, Wan Interface: Any
Step 5: WAN Port: Enter the port number to be opened (eg: 80)
Step 6: LAN Port : Re-enter the same port number as in WAN port
Step 7: LAN IP Address : Enter the LAN IP of the device for which you want to open ports
Step 8: Click on Apply Changes
Try accessing the device over the internet using the WAN IP: port number
Step 1: Connect ISP to the WAN port, PC to the LAN port
Step 2: Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 3: Go to Setup > WAN
Step 4: Delete the entries from “WAN interfaces table” (If any)
Step 5: Select WAN mode as PPPoE
Step 6: Enter the ISP provided Username and password
Step 7: Select MAC from PC under MAC clone option
Step 8: Apply Changes
Reboot the router and try to access internet.
Setup: DG-BG4100NU (192.168.1.1) )))) (((( DG-HR1420 (192.168.1.254)
Step 1: Connect PC to the LAN port of the router
Step 2: Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 3: Go to Setup > Wireless > Basic
Step 4: Assign the wireless network name to your choice in “SSID” (Without any space)
Step 5: Select channel number 9
Step 6: Click on Apply changes
Step 7: Go to Setup > Wireless > Security
Step 8: Select Security options as WPA(TKIP)
Step 9: Enter password for wireless network in pre-shared key (minimum 8 alphanumeric characters)
Step 10: Click on Apply changes
Step 11: Click Setup > LAN
Step 12: Change the LAN IP of the router : 192.168.1.254 (IP has to be in the range of main router) > Apply Changes
Step 13: Access the configuration page using changed IP address (192.168.1.254)
Step 14: Go to Setup > Wireless > Repeater
Step 15: Click on “Repeater Enabled” > Click “Site survey”
Step 16: Select the desired network and click “Next”.
Step 17: Select encryption to “WPA-PSK (TKIP)” according to the encryption on main router
Step 18: Enter the wireless password of the main router
Step 19: Click Apply
Step 20: Check the IP address (Must be in the main router network range) > Click on “Finish”
Step 1: Connect ISP to the WAN port, PC to the LAN port
Step 2: Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 3: Go to Setup > WAN
Step 4: Delete the entries from “WAN interfaces table” (If any)
Step 5: Select WAN mode as Static
Step 6: Under “WAN IP settings”, Select “Fixed IP” and enter the ISP provided IP Address in “Local IP address”, Subnet Mask in “Netmask”, Default Gateway in “Remote IP address”
Step 7: Select “Set DNS manually” , enter DNS1 and DNS2 correctly
Step 7: Select MAC from PC under MAC clone option
Step 8: Apply Changes
Reboot the router and try to access internet.
Please find the steps mentioned below to enable URL filtering:
Please note that the secured websites (https) will be blocked if you block port number 443.
You can enable URL filtering for “http” websites only.
Step 1: Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 2: Choose Firewall > URL Filter
Step 3: Enable the URL Blocking Capability
Step 4: Click on Apply Changes
Step 5: Enter the Keyword or URL which you want to block
Step 6: Click on Add Keyword
Step 1: Connect ISP to the WAN port, PC to the LAN port
Step 2: Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Enter username as admin and password as 1234
Step 3: Go to Setup > Wireless > Basic
Step 4: Assign the wireless network name to your choice in “SSID” (Without any space)
Step 5: Select channel number 9
Step 6: Click on Apply changes
Please wait till the WLAN restarts.
Step 7: Go to Setup > Wireless > Security
Step 8: Select Security options as WPA(TKIP)
Step 9: Enter password for wireless network in pre-shared key (minimum 8 alpha numeric characters)
Step 10: Click on Apply changes
Scan for the wireless network (SSID) and connect with the password (pre-shared key) to go online wirelessly
